During Newsmakers Briefing at the National Press Club on July 10

Washington, D.C. – The President of the Hispanic Communications Network (HCN), Carlos Alcazar, will announce the launch of a new, nationally-syndicated radio public affairs show during a Newsmakers Briefing at the National Press Club on July 10, 2006 at 10am. His remarks, entitled "Hispanic Media and Its Impact on Latino Public Affairs" will also trace the involvement of Spanish-language media in fueling the new, grassroots activism of the Latino community on issues like immigration reform.

Carlos Alcazar is the president of Hispanic Communications Network (HCN). Previously, as Vice President at media companies such as Pearson plc and Viacom, he was responsible for creating new business opportunities in worldwide markets through joint ventures, strategic alliances, and new division launches.
